The Edge House exists to support students and there are lots of ways you can help us do that. There are also lots of ways we can support you and your community. Contact us to start a conversation.
Check out these generous folks who support our ministry:
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Kenwood, Ohio
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Loveland, Ohio
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Anderson Township, Ohio
Hope Lutheran, Cincinnati, Ohio
Espresso and our time are free, but running the ministry isn't. If you'd like to donate financially, click through this link or make checks out to "Good Shepherd Lutheran Church" with "campus ministry" in the memo line. Good Shepherd in Kenwood has assumed oversight and inspiration of the Lutheran Campus Ministry at UC and the congregation is fired up for campus ministry! The congregation has committed a portion of its budget to salary and program support.
Or, if you are more inclined to offer services or materials for use in the ministry, please check out our Edge House Wish List.
Or, join us for Nosh: homemade dinner with communion built-in. We'd love for you and one or two of your friends to make and share dinner at The Edge House on a Sunday evening. We'll read from scripture and celebrate communion while we share casserole, fried chicken, or filet mignon. Click here for more information.
In the fall of 2016, a crack team of current and former students, Good Shepherd members and Pastors Alice and Heidi began meeting to discern who the Edge House is now and where we want to be. We shared transformative stories about this community and how it touches lives well beyond the building itself. We developed a new understanding that the Edge House is more than a campus ministry, it's a series of distributed communities across campus affecting a core group of 100 students and an extended group of 600.
We are excited about all the things we learned and about sharing those learnings with the wider church. Our final report can be found here.
Every year we say goodbye to students graduating from UC and surrounding colleges. It is always hard to let them go, but we know they are not alone. They go out into the working world equipped to be kind and courageous and aware humans.
We hope to see them from time to time: at annual Alum Board Game Night and Alum Nosh, as well as whatever financial and relational support they can offer. We invite our graduates to give back to the Edge House just as they were given the gift of this place.
