We take care of each other, sometimes with fun, sometimes with intentional conversation, sometimes with food,
sometimes just with sitting together.
Extravaganza and Reading of the Rule
The Rule of Life is our document of what we value at the Edge House. The Extravaganza is an evening in the Fall doing a fun activity with the purpose of getting to know each other followed by the annual reading of the Rule. That last bit is more fun than it sounds.

One of the most attended events, running once a month on the second Friday at 8pm. We’ve got long, strategy games and short, party games. Pizza included, so come hungry!
Every Fall at Welcome Weekend we bring out our Giant-Sized Settlers of Catan to play with first-years. We also host a huge board game night in the TUC food court with All the Games™.
Playing games is good for the soul. Humans are built for play and as adults we don't often make time for it. And playing board games in particular is a kind of ritual of connection, learning expectations, and enjoying each other's enjoyment.
Meets once a month typically on the first Saturday to bake and give away bread! A great chance to learn the basics of bread baking or to try a new recipe. You don't have to have ever baked anything -- we'll teach you. It's fun to get your hands dirty. Look at some of the awesome recipes we have made! Check out the gld_bread-guild Slack channel for when we are baking or contact Alice about opportunities to give/share/donate our bread!
Come chill, eat food, and enjoy some anime with friends! Shows are chosen by members each week, so everyone gets a say. Our meeting times are variable so let us know if you’re interested!
You can join the gld_anime-guild channel in the Edge House Slack for updates!
Each of us has our own unique story or novel that we wish to write about, so each week in writers guild we take the time to express our thoughts and ideas and implement them into our work. We typically meet every Thursday from 8 pm to 9 pm. Since this is a small group so far, we start off by doing a discussion in the first few minutes and then proceed to work on our own individual stories. Anyone is welcome to join us, whether you have a story you wish to write, or some poems to express yourself with.

We have multiple D&D groups that meet at the Edge House! We welcome newbies and veterans alike and have weekly campaigns and one-shots :) If you are interested, let us know (email, facebook, in-person, etc) or fill out this survey: Edge D&D Groups
We typically have a one-shot on Sunday afternoons for anyone to jump in and experience some good ol’ roleplaying!
If you are in the Edge House Slack, you can join the dnd_general channel for updates.
We set aside time weekly in small groups to practice curiosity, intentionality, and presence in a welcoming community. Basic outline: focus, read, share, discuss.
